Finally!

I am finally updating this thing! Unfortunately I can't say the same for my other blog. :P So much has been going on, life has been taking full effect. I needed to update this, so I can hopefully be adding more on here soon. I've been talking with my photographer in hopes of being able to pull from the creative side of me.
Since the last post I've done quite a few photo shoots, which are on the sidebar.
Sorry they aren't uploaded the best. I'm not too computer smart, and it's late. Bad combination.
I was also able to take advantage of some continuing education classes. I took a 3 day course from the very talented, James Ryder. I learned SO much and I'm so grateful for the opportunity. I was actually invited to attend their Boot Camp that is coming up this month, but I unfortunately had to turn the opportunity down. I can only hope that they will extend an invitation for a later class.
On the bright side, I'm a proud Team Leader of Sport Clips, and our store is set to open soon. Hence, why I had to turn the opportunity for the Boot Camp down. I couldn't be more happy in heading into this adventure with my family. I couldn't imagine any other people I would love to spend my career with!
I've been able to do a couple up-do's here and there, those have been added to the slide show at the bottom of the page.
I'm excited to be on the path that I am. I love life. I love what I do. And I'm excited for the adventures that are on the way.

I'm a slacker! sorry!

It's been since the Super Bowl since my last post, and football season starts tomorrow! (well actually today since midnight just rolled around) I need to be better at posting on here. I've done quite a few photo shoots and done some other little random hair things since the Colts lost in the Super Bowl. :( I'm not totally a Colts fan, but I'm not a Saints fan at all. So I was a bit disappointed. Oh well, Brent's haircut was fun and so was watching a good game!
Since it is WAY past my bedtime, I'm going to hit the sack, but know that there is a post and some more slide shows of photo shoots on their way real soon! (which considering it's me and I'm not too good at keeping this updated (starting now, it's my New Year's Resolution!) hopefully it'll be updated sooner rather than later)
Peace and Love
The lights are now out!

gAME tIME!

The Thursday before the Super Bowl, I get a call from my dad's cousin Brent. They were supposed to dress up for their favorite team at work that Saturday. He's a butcher, so he has to wear a big white coat when he's working. So he decided that the next best thing was to cut his hair for the big event. He wanted a mohawk and two Colt's horseshoes on the side. Oh, and most important, he wanted them blue! I had him come into my work and we just did it there. Needless to say there were a few turned heads and funny looks as he walked out. My dad said to make sure no one knew that my dad knew him. haha RIGHT! As Brent was walking out, one of our neighbors happened to be walking in. Not only did he catch on that my dad knew Brent, but that he's related to him too :) I LOVE my family!

Halloween

So my friend Nikki, one of the ones I've done photo shoots with in the past, came to me wanting me to do the hair for her and her friend. They had the brilliant idea that they wanted to be animals for Halloween. Nikki was a peacock, and her friend Drea was a zebra. The first couple pictures are of their hair. The last couple are of the amazing body makeup they had done by another friend.

I just realized

My very first photo shoot isn't up here. Sorry Sharesa! Sharesa was my guinea pig for my first shoot. I took a make-up class from the amazing and talented Brittany Troche! We did a shoot after the class and here is what came from it. The pictures from Meaux Photograpy are on the side bar. These are ones that I took on the side of the freeway when Sharesa's car decided it didn't want to work anymore. So we seized the opportunity to have a shoot on the side of the road. :o)

tied with a bow

My sister-in-law babysits a cute lil girl, and I've happened to be there once or twice when she is. I usually end up getting talked into doing her hair (it doesn't take much to talk me into it). I decided to try something new out, and I really liked the way it turned out!

wHerE abOutS

Just so ya know. . .I'm working at a Sport Clips right now and LOVING it!!! What could be better for me than being able to go to work and watch sports/talk about sports all day? The girls I work with are so fun to be around, and the guests that come in are the BEST! We stay pretty busy, so that's good! It makes the time go by way fast too. I'm still doing photo shoots on the side; that is when my schedule matches up with the photographer's, and the model's. I'm working on getting some of the shots from the latest shoot on here. I'm also trying to get some from a shoot I did way back when for Wadsworth. When I get those I'll get them up here as soon as I can.
